Just last night I was working on bench and a couple walked in who I didn’t recognize, immediately pegged them as NYR people. ![]() Logically, I should be happy to see more people taking their health seriously. That's why there are treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes.I always love to see people start their personal fitness journeys whether it be running, powerlifting, CrossFit, or calisthenics, etc. Side Note: The basketball gym doesn't have a track around it, so that means don't run around on the court for your cardio unless you're actually playing basketball with the rest of us or the gym is completely empty. But if you're coming to the gym to waste time, you're wasting the time of people in there actually trying to better themselves and get a good workout in. I am all for helping those who are committed to their workouts and bettering themselves. also put on actual gym clothes, don't go walking around in your jeans and collar shirt. For those who are just making the gym a crowded place and using the only bench press for 20 min but looking at your phone the whole time, go home. To those who actually stick to their regiment and lose weight, great! Good Job! I am happy for you. Why do I hate them so much? Many of the people get a membership, clog up the gym for 2 weeks, incorrectly use weights or damage weights, then never come back again.
